DESCRIPTION:
Up for sale is a 1995 Porsche 911 Coupe 6-speed, Midnight Blue metallic on blue partial leather interior. Ive embedded a Google picture album with 70+ photos into the listing, you can also directly link to here: https://picasaweb.google.com/83Porsche91102 I have service records establishing that this car was very will taken care of by previous owners and myself. The records also establish the mileage is true and accurate, car was in storage off and on over the past eight years, most of the miles on the car were put on early in its life. I have driven this car about four thousand miles since acquiring it, at one point I was commuting 100 miles a day for about week-and-half. Car performed flawlessly.A little about me: I have owned a 1989 Silver Anniversary 911 cab and currently own a Porsche 914 track beast which I just picked up. I also just picked up a new road toy, Im restoring/hot rodding an old 78 Volvo 242, and also have a daily driver. Too many cars, so this one has to go (can use the cash for food, water and shelter). 993 History If you are looking for a 993, especially at the 1995 model year, you know that this particular model year uses OBD1 engine managementno pesky check engine lights that will lead to the state inspection failures so many 993 owners have to deal with. No check engine lights during my ownership. Cosmetic Condition:Car is in nice driver shape, originally a California car, no visible rust or bubbling, some blemishes commensurate with age and mileage. There are rock chips on the nose, some blemishes on the bumper and one noticeable blemish on the right fender, all pictured. Clean undercarriage, rockers and boot. The plastic quarter-panel covers are foggy, as they are with most 993s. Interior is nice, with a little bit of wear on the drivers bolster, but no tears anywhere. Dash is clean, no cracks. Headliner is very clean and tight, no sagging. Carpet is in good shape with some wear in the drivers foot-well. The Drive:The car is solid, as pretty much the entire suspension has been replaced with OE or name brand (Koni) parts. No creaks, clicks etc., compliant ride while still remaining firm for the twisty stuff. Tires are essentially new, no dry-rot etc. Engine sounds great, with no smoke at startup unless it sits for a while. Service This car has had a heap of service done over the last four thousand miles, service that most 993s above 50,000 miles will probably need and some other service that most 993 owners would want. The service was done with mostly original Porsche parts (OE), rather than aftermarket or original equipment manufacturer parts (OEM). HighlightsNew OE clutch, main seal at 94,000 miles Timing chain box resealed, OE Parts New tires, completely rebuilt suspension and steering rack, including Koni FSD dampers, M030 front/rear sway bars, Elephant Racing bushings, OE toe links, THE WORKS All routine maintenance up to date New Michelin Pilot Sport A/S with roughly 2,500 miles on them Suspension and tires: Completely rebuilt front end: New OE inner/outer tie rods and locking bolts New OE ball joints and locking bolts OE Rebuilt ZF steering rack (from Zims Autotechnik) and rack boots Completely rebuilt control arms, Elephant Racing Sport Hardness bushings New OE REAR TOELINKS (these cost almost $700 for the pair alone) Brand new Koni FSD shocks and struts Brand new OE M030 FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS and brand new OE bushings Brand new OE Carrera 4 ENGINE MOUNTS (these are a bit tougher than the C2 and tighten up the rear end nicely). Alignment, including kinematic toe New Michelin Pilot Sport A/S with roughly 2,500 miles on them Engine Previous owner had chain boxes resealed Rear main seal replaced during clutch job, OE parts Air check valve replaced with OE parts Transmission and clutch Brand new OE CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, THROW-OUT BEARING, FLYWHEEL SEAL Gear oil flushed twice with Swepco 201 Transmission shifter seal and boot replaced with OE parts (common source of transmission fluid leaks on these cars) Miscellaneous Brand new coco mats from cocomats.com
